After the tournament: sorting the riichi counters to value.

EDEWECHT, Germany - German player Simon Naarmann today has won the Edewecht Combi Riichi Tournament. Ad van der Linden from the Netherlands ended in second position, just before Stephanie Duhme, also from Germany.

The Edewecht Combi Tournament consists of a riichi and an MCR tournament, both with a MERS 1-rating of the European Mahjong Association. This year, the combi tournament took place for the fourth time. Ad van der Linden won the prize for the best accumulated results in both the riichi and the MCR-competition.

In the riichi competition, twenty players participated, from Germany and the Netherlands, and one Polish player. Five hanchan were played. The MCR-event, with 28 contestants, took place one day later. Check the results here.
