WORLD - Taking place all around the globe this weekend are multiple world events, to include the Fifth World Mahjong Championship in Xi'an China, the MCR Elite Open Guang'an China, the MCR and Riichi Combi in Edewecht Germany, the Styrian MCR in Tribuswinkel (Baden) Austria, and the MCR Imperial Open Reunion Island. All this competition makes this weekend a Super Saturday of Mahjong for 2017. Early results for multiple competitions are already rolling in.

Already early results are coming through on the World Mahjong Championship in Xi'an, China, with several European players demonstrating strong play and positions, to include Joel Ratsimandresy currently holding 3rd place after two days of competition. Details can be found in the WRC article here.

Also available are day 1 results of the MCR Elite Open Sichuan China organized by the China Majiang Federation. Li Wenlong, a well known player among European tournament circuits who heralds from China, is currently ranking in at #17.
