DUNAÚJVÁROS, Hungary – In 8-9 July the 12th Hungarian Mahjong Open took place in Dunaújváros, Hungary. Twenty-four players from five countries (Germany, Netherlands, France, Austria and Hungary) participated in this tournament. Andreas Riha from Austria has won the Hungarian MCR Open Sisi Cup vol. 2. Runner up was Norbert Tschinkel and in third position was Elisabeth Frischenschlager.

The Sisi Cup is the yearly price for the combined results of the Hungarian and the Austrian Open championships. The cup is named after the empress Sisi, who reigned over both Austria and Hungary (1867-’98). Eszter Várnai won Sisi Cup in 2017 with 35 table points. Second in the Sisi Cup was Elisabeth Frischenschlager, followed by Andreas Riha.
