Quite remarkable: Gemma Collinge from the United Kingdom, who, three months ago, was the winner of the German championship in Hanover, ended as the last but one, with a score of minus 45,400 points. Lena Weinguny, the winner of last year's tournament, ended on the 5th position. On the EMA Riichi ranking, winner Tobias Klüpfel jumps from position 56 to position 20. Organizer Michael Kammer of the Vienna 'Kasu Club' is very enthusiastic about the tournament. "Everything went quite smoothly and I think all the players had great fun." It was the first time that Michael was responsible for the event, since Kasu-president Paul Beneder is in Japan for a year. "This surely will not be our last tournament. VIENNA - Tobias Klüpfel from Germany has won the Second Open Riichi Austrian Open. His score after four rounds was 79,200 points. The runner-up and the number three player came both from Austria: Andreas Schrittwieser and Alexander Doppelhofer. Twenty players, from four countries, competed in this tournament.
