BADEN, Austria - Gemma Collinge from the United Kingdom has won her second MERS rated mahjong tournament. She was the strongest player of 24 today  at the Baden Riichi Open. In 2009, Gemma won the German Open.

Remarkable about the Austrian event, organised by Alexander Doppelhofer, was that there were more foreign players than Austrians. The players came from France (2), Germany (2), Denmark (1), United Kingdom (1),  Slovakia (6), Japan (1), Hungary (1) and Austria (10). Moreover, the Austrians did not stand any chance against the foreigners. Best 'home player' was Birgitt Rupp at number 10.

The trophey was handed to Gemma by the Baden burgomaster, Kurt Staska.
