Tired faces at the Mahjon Anime Marathon. Background, sitting, is winner Anton Kösters.PARIS - The team of Dutch player Anton Kösters and French Joël Ratsimandresy is the winner of the second Mahjong Anime's Marathon, which was held last weekend in Évry, near Paris. After 24 hours of mahjong, they had the best results. It was the second time Évry witnessed this mahjong marathon.

Sleeping team-mates.Organizer Joe Calberson reports: “Mahjong Anime's Marathon has (finally) ended! Lots of mahjong, lots of tiredness and not enough sleep but lots of pleasure, lots of emotions, many presents and 16 great players!

“We saw Anthony doing the 13 orphans and picking the winning tile! But he was in a dead hand soon in this game.

“At the last turn, 10 of the 14 games was won by Joël, 2 ended by no winners and only 2 by the others! We never see that! What a finish!”

In the (less important) individual ranking, Dutch player Anton Kösters was the best.

For the rankings of the tournament the score in mini-points is decisive.

Anton
As a matter of fact, it was primarily a team competition which Joël and I won, not in the last place because of a 501 points full sweep in the last round by Joël.
