In the 'Mahjong Anime Marathon', teams of two players play mahjong for 24 hours. The players take turns, but there are limitations. Each participant has to play for two hours or a multiple of this in one go. The players of a team not having made the same time of game are penalized by 50 points per hour of difference. So, if player 1 plays for 10 hours and player 2 plays for 14 hours, there are 4 hours of difference, which means 200 penalty points for the team. The marathon lasted for twelve hours. This year, for the first time also two Danish teams had subscribed. With 24 subscribers, it was the largest marathon so far. Organizer Calberson: "There were many problems before the beginning: cancelled subscriptions, no venue for the tournament... Many thrills but finally, we have managed and solved them. "We started with a delay of one hour. I think and I hope I can say everyone has enjoyed these moments, despite the heating lack." The results(Please note that mahjong points and not table points are decisive)
