 GAGNY - The French team Quentin Porcherot/Joe-Calberson Huynh has won the traditional Mahjong Marathon, with a total of 889 mahjong points. Runners-up were Frédérique Grondin/Dominique Tronche, while last year's winners, Anton Kösters (Holland) and Joël Ratsimandresy, won the third prize.

MILAN - Massimo Boccalari is the winner of the ‘Combinata delle Stelline’ (Combined Little Stars) Tournament in Milan. It is a competition organized in Milan because the 7th of December it is Sant'Ambrogio, the patron saint of Milan, and the 8th of December in Italy is public holiday for the conception of the Virgin Mary. |

 CERVIA - In the beautiful venue of the Hotel Dante at Cervia, last weekend for the first time in the Italian mahjong history the championship for teams took place. Sixteen teams, each consisting of four ‘friends’ (players), participated. There were trophies for the best three teams and the best five players - skipping the players who were already laureated for their team results.

 PARIS - The team of Dutch player Anton Kösters and French Joël Ratsimandresy is the winner of the second Mahjong Anime's Marathon, which was held last weekend in Évry, near Paris. After 24 hours of mahjong, they had the best results. It was the second time Évry witnessed this mahjong marathon.
