World of Warcraft Mahjong Set

worldofwarcraft

AMSTERDAM, May, 16th - Chinese internet company and World of Warcraft regional publisher NetEase has made a limited edition ‘World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria’-themed mahjong set.

Each set costs 1,288 renminbi (USD209) and includes a fully playable mahjong game, complete with tiles, table mats featuring WoW game maps, dividers and chips, all in a thematic wooden carrying case. The board’s decals are designed to look like artwork straight out of World of Warcraft, with a color palette reminiscent of that used for structures and environments in Mists of Pandaria.
Only 1000 of these mahjong sets will be made available worldwide, although the set only appears to be sold through the Chinese-based company. Pre-orders are being taken right now. More pictures are shown on the NetEase website (link below).

The name of the producer of the video's and ending second place as a player: Takunori Kajimoto. I wonder if he could see all the tiles when he was playing as shown in the live stream video! :-)

It's very typical that your fingers are placed in such a way that a certain brewers name is yet clearly vissible... ;) Good luck with the hunt for a place in the final!

I have similar feelings about this new Golden Tile Tournament. The scheme is too time consuming which gives the chances to win only to those who are retired or have no everyday work...

Adrie van Geffen wins first Dutch On Line Open

Adrie van GeffenSAN DIEGO - 'A3geffen' (a.k.a. Dutch player Adrie van Geffen) is the winner of the first Dutch On Line Open Championship, being concluded today. Runner-up was 'yakuz888' (Nghiep Ly from France). Number three was the on line champion, JulJul (Juliani Leo) from the USA. There were 52 contestants.
JulJul appears to be a very strong on line player. She won the first two official online championships: the Open European, and the Open Hungarian. Of course she should be also number 1 on the MORSE-ranking, the official European ranking of the on line tournaments, which are being organized by Mahjong Time in cooperation with the European Mahjong Association (EMA). But since she is from the USA, she cannot be on that list, which until now is headed by 'Fleurtje' (Dutch player Gerda van Oorschot). On the Dutch Open, Fleurtje ended on the number 5 position.
