Alexander Doppelhofer First in Spain

MURCIA, Spain - Austrian player Alexander Doppelhofer today has won the Spanish Open Mahjong Championship (MCR, MERS 2). It was Alexanders third victory, after the Russian Open 2010 and the Russian Open 2008.
Organizer Carlos Sánchez Martín was the runner-up, Antonio Guillamón Rubio took the third place. Twenty players competed in this two days’ tournament. The Spanish Open is part I of the Iberian Cup 2012; part II will take place coming weekend at Povoa de Varzim, Portugal. The player with the best accumulated results in both tournaments will win the Iberia Cup.
