BADEN - In the World Championship, last year in Holland, Elisabeth Frischenschlager surprised everyone with an outstanding third place, right after world champion Linghua Jiao from China and runner-up Oliv' Boivin from France. Now, with just some months to go until the European championship in Venice, she presented herself again as one of the favorites for the title. Today, in Baden, Austria, she was the undisputed winner of the Fifth Graz Open.

36 players from four countries participated in this MERS (1 pt.) rated tournament of six rounds. The ladies dominated this event: the first male was not admitted until the 9th spot. The third prize was for a newcomer: Katharina Ganster.
