Shi Hua ChenUPPSALA, Sweden - Shi Hua Chen from Denmark has won the Second Swedish Mahjong Championship, concluded today in Uppsala. Morten Andersen, the winner of last year, ended on 10th position.

There was one foreign player: Anton Kösters from the Netherlands.

Top-three in HanoverHANOVER - Joel Ratsimandresy from France today has won the Fourth German Open. Runner-up was Otto Myslivec from Austria, third prize for Isabel Jensen from Denmark. Sixty players competed in the two days' event in Hanover.

The Open Italian Championship 2009MILAN - Elena Savini today has won the Open Italian Championship 2009. In the last round, she won the battle against her most important competitor, Matteo Tenderini, to determine  the winner of the tournament. The third place was for Angela Plebani.  Best foreign player was French Jérôme Bonifas, who finished right after the top three. 72 players participated.

The Austrian Open 2009BRUCK AM MUR - Benoît Messi-Fouda from France has won the Austrian Open 2009. Runner-up was Martin Scheichenbauer from Austria, who won the Sisi Cup 2009, because of his accumulated score of the combined Austrian and Hungarian Open 2009. Wil Meijer-Kal from the Netherlands ended in third position.
