BADEN - The European Riichi Ranking, as calculated by Austrian Alexander Doppelhofer. Mahjong News presents this ranking as the preferred one over the EMA Riichi Ranking since July, 2010, because the EMA Ranking is considered being too static.

HANOVER - After the Second European Riichi Mahjong Championship in Hanover, Sjef Strik now is the leader of the EMA Riichi Ranking. EMA has designed a new way of calculating the results, so the list has changed dramatically since the previous one.

BADEN  - The Mahjong News MCR Ranking List, with the results of the World Mahjong Championship 2010 included. The Danes did very well there, and this reflects in the list. Jesper Willemoes Hansen  is the new leader of the classification; Martin Wedel Jacobsen made a giant leap, from position 33 to the 4th place and Morten Andersen jumped from the 44th to 6th position.

GURK, Austria  - The updated EMA MCR Ranking list, after the 2010 Open Austrian Championship at Gurk, July 31th~August 1st. Bo Lang still is in the lead. Martin Scheichenbauer from Austria, who entered the top-ten just one week earlier, climbs to 7th position. Otto Myslivec drops from the 3rd to the 6th place.

PARIS - Both European mahjong ranking lists which are kept by EMA, have changed dramatically today. The international mahjong organization has applied a new way of calculating. As a result of this, both rankings have a new leader. Bo Lang from Switzerland now is number one in the MCR ranking, Sjef Strik from the Netherlands is in the lead of the European Riichi Ranking. Luca Gavelli from Itally, who has lead the MCR ranking for years, has dropped to position number five.

NIJMEGEN - The World EMA MORSE Ranking list, published exclusively by Mahjong News. Unlike the EMA list, this ranking contains all the names of the players who have participated in the officially acknowledged online tournaments. The EMA list, due to its nature, implies only the names of the European players.
