BADEN - After the Red Eyes Tournament in Paris 2011, Valérian Thomas is the number 1 player on the Mahjong News Riichi Ranking. Anneke Keyl has dropped to number 2.

UTRECHT  -  Sjef Strik still leads the official EMA Riichi Ranking, after the Red Eyes Tournament 2011 in Paris. Nicolas Poilleux from France is the runner-up, Anders Labich from Denmark on number three.

DUNÁUJVÁROS   - The Mahjong News/Alexander Doppelhofer MCR Ranking, updated with the results of the White Dragon Tournament in Hungary. Marianne Croeze remains in the lead.

PARIS  - Pascal Balorin of Reunion, France, still is on the number 1 position after the White Dragon Tournament at Dunáujváros, Hungary.

AMSTERDAM, the Netherlands - Marianne Croeze from the Netherlands is the best all-round player of 2011. Runner-up on the list, composed of the best results in official MCR and riichi mahjong tournaments, is Joel Ratsimandrésy from France, just before Marianne's spouse Jaap Croeze on number 3.

PARIS - They have just started playing in international tournaments, yet the French dominate the list of the best riichi players of 2011. Most successful of them is Valérian Thomas, with Nicolas Campina as the runner-up. Only Gemma Collinge from the UK prevents the French from completely occupying the top-three; and it's another French, Jean-Marc Dedieu, who is on position number 4.

AMSTERDAM - For the second time in a row, a Dutch girl is ‘MCR player of the year’.  Last year, Eveline Broers had the highest score in the Mahjong News ranking of the Player of the Year. This year, it is her fellow-countrywoman Marianne Croeze who has the best results, while Eveline ending on 86th position. Another player from Holland, Désirée Heemskerk, this year is the runner-up. Third place is for Marco Montebelli from Italy.
