BADEN - The Italian player who was suspended during the OEMC 2009 at Baden, will get no punishment. Benedetta Tesi was put on the last position in the tournament, which means she will get no points for the EMA MCR ranking.
EMA-president Robert Rijnders thinks no further punishment will be necessary. "I do not know if she plans to participate in the WMO 2010 or the OEMC 2011 in Italy. In that case, we should have a chat with her first." Tesi got angry during one of the sessions on the European Championship. She started screaming and shouting, and subsequently sweeped all the tiles from her table. Read about the 'Tesi incident' in Sjef Strik's OEMC 2009 diary |
