According to Jaewon Yu, spokesman of the mahjong club, the Rubix recently has acquired three more automatic mahjong machines, which brings the total on seven automatic mahjong machines. The Korean Mahjong League has initial contacts with the Japanese Mahjong Museum. This cooperation may lead to common activities, such as mahjong championships. Website of the Korean Mahjong League

SEOUL - The Rubix, residence of the South-Korean riichi mahjong league, will soon become the first commercial mahjong place in Korea. Nowadays, about 150 or more people play mahjong in that place a month. There are serious plans to organize another open tournament in East Asia.
