LINHAI - A man allegedly set his boss' warehouse on fire on three occasions because he was not given a loan to pay off his gambling debt. Yu, 45, has worked in a straw mat factory in Linhai, Zhejiang province. In March, Yu lost some money playing mahjong. He asked his boss for a 200-yuan advance but the boss refused. Yu was apparently so disgusted that he allegedly set the boss' warehouse on fire three times in March and April, causing an economic loss of nearly 1.2 million yuan. Yu was soon arrested after the highly alert boss suspected arson. (Taizhou Evening News) |
