HENGELO - Jan Ketzer's mahjong stamps are now collector's items. Individual stamps of 0,44 euro are presented on sites like eBay or Marktplaats for some 1.50 euro. The stamps have been released to financially support the World Mahjong Championship 2010 and Mr. Ketzer's mahjong club.

SHANGHAI - Police cracked down on 1,859 cases of drug dealing in the city last year, and confiscated more than 40 percent more drugs than in 2008, the Shanghai Anti-Drug Commission said yesterday. Most of these people - unemployed or retired and having nothing to do - gathered to use drugs while playing cards or mahjong. |

CEBU, Philippines - A 38-year-old man was wounded after he was stabbed allegedly by his two friends in barangay Suba, Cebu City on Saturday night. Elvis Las Piñas suffered stab wounds in the head, shoulder and arms. His attackers remain at large. Police identified them as Jefferson Leoligao and one John-John. |
