| In our old tournament system, there was carry-over score; in your case, you were hurt by your -70 carried over (after halving) from the first round. But other players had carry-over too, and they average out to be positive, so on average +/- zero is not enough for advancement. Rather, you need to beat the "average carry-over score", which is often around +40 or so. We will be using a different, and more satisfying, format in 2010. |
