World of Warcraft Mahjong Set

worldofwarcraft

AMSTERDAM, May, 16th - Chinese internet company and World of Warcraft regional publisher NetEase has made a limited edition ‘World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria’-themed mahjong set.

Each set costs 1,288 renminbi (USD209) and includes a fully playable mahjong game, complete with tiles, table mats featuring WoW game maps, dividers and chips, all in a thematic wooden carrying case. The board’s decals are designed to look like artwork straight out of World of Warcraft, with a color palette reminiscent of that used for structures and environments in Mists of Pandaria.
Only 1000 of these mahjong sets will be made available worldwide, although the set only appears to be sold through the Chinese-based company. Pre-orders are being taken right now. More pictures are shown on the NetEase website (link below).

Yours Truly
If he is interested in mahjong as a game of intellect, he better not start his search at (free) parlors. Whether he will be admitted in for his project remains to be seen, but other players may not be so agreeing to it, and what "makes mahjong an important part of their life" to them is the delusion of a possibility to make a few extra yen.

The Complete Book of Mah Jongg is about the Chinese Classical game. In this game, a ready declaration generally is not used in the case which is mentioned above.

The only case in which you can place a voluntary ready declaration, is mentioned in rule #55; that is, when a player has a waiting hand on her initial draw.

From this book - I have a question about rule no.53 - Calling and Mah-Jongg.
When a player have a Calling hand - does he have to say the word calling or not?
Best regards

Not the same as EMA? EMA does not have a list of the Best Riichi Player of the Year, this is a Mahjong News exclusive, calculated by Alexander Doppelhofer.

What surprise !!!
How is it possible ?

I don't understand this result, because It's not the same with EMA.
for sure, I'm really happy to be in front Nicolas.P but it's not fair.
I don't want to minimize the pleasure after reading this news (congrat'z Valerian), but in fact I laughed and I thought a good Christmas joke...

About the last tournament it was a Red Eyes Riichi (RER Crew) not TNT as Quentin saying just before.

XXXX Christmas !
See you next year.

Tina Christensen new EMA president

tinachr(Update: some quotes from Tina Christensen)

MESTRE - Tina Christensen, president of Mahjong Denmark, is the new president of the European Mahjong Association (EMA). Today, at the General Assembly of the EMA at Mestre, she was elected as the sucessor of Robert Rijnders, who did not want a new term.

Tina has been a member of the EMA Board and a vice-president since EMA was founded in 2005. She is the third president of the association; the first one was Uwe Martens from Germany (2005-'09).

When Mr. Martens resigned, Tina did not feel like running for president. "But now, the EMA building is standing. So the workload will not differ very much with what I have done as a vice-president", she says. "Although I will ger more mails perhaps."

I meant the presidium: 1 president, 2x vice, 2 other members.

Tina
The vice presidents are Sébastien Berret (France) and Axel Eschenburg (Germany). The last two members of the presidium are András Boda (Hungary) and Mark Chizhenok (Russia).

I regret not talking to very many people in Mestre. I had the most terrible headache I have ever experienced and was much less social than I wanted to be.
