MESTRE - Tina Christensen, president of Mahjong Denmark, is the new president of the European Mahjong Association (EMA). Today, at the General Assembly of the EMA at Mestre, she was elected as the sucessor of Robert Rijnders, who did not want a new term. Tina has been a member of the EMA Board and a vice-president since EMA was founded in 2005. She is the third president of the association; the first one was Uwe Martens from Germany (2005-'09). When Mr. Martens resigned, Tina did not feel like running for president. "But now, the EMA building is standing. So the workload will not differ very much with what I have done as a vice-president", she says. "Although I will ger more mails perhaps." |

I regret not talking to very many people in Mestre. I had the most terrible headache I have ever experienced and was much less social than I wanted to be.
