HANOVER - On Sunday, July 11th, 2010, six o'clock in the afternoon, the name of the successor of European riichi mahjong champion Thomas Kragh will be formally announced. This will be the end of two - no doubt, thrilling - days of riichi mahjong in the Jazz Club of Hanover, Germany.
The preparations for the second European Riichi Mahjong Championship are in full swing. The most striking event will be a riichi workshop the participants can subscribe to. This 'Riichi Expert Seminar' will be conducted by Takunori Kajimoto and Benjamin Boas. Benjamin is an American, living in Japan, who has studied Japanese mahjong culture on a Fullbright scholarship. Kajimoto is a professional mahjong player in Japan and a free-lance contributor to Mahjong News. Famous are his 'what would you discard' booklets and columns. The workshop precedes the actual championship: it will take place on Friday afternoon.

Benjamin and Kajimoto-san will also be the referees during the tournament, together with Norbert Luckhardt from Hanover.

i guess there is a mistake in this article. The EM will be at the 10.-11. July, so the the name of the successor of European riichi mahjong champion will be formally announced at the 11th July.
