The EC Riichi 2010 - Day 1
HANOVER, Germany - After two rounds I think this may become Gemma Collinge’s day again. The Cornish ‘ReachMahjongDotCom Babe’ has won her first two tables, and she has taken the lead with a considerable number of points before her major opponent, Sjef Strik. Whom, until now, she has never been able to beat. Same place, one year earlier, Gemma was even more smiles and beaming like never before, when she won the First German Riichi Open, here in the Hanover Jazz Club. So,who knows?

In July, for the second time, the European Riichi Mahjong Championship will take place in Hanover, Germany. And, just like the first time, the skilled Japanese players are the great favorites for the open European title. Although some of the top players think they may be able to beat them. So, a Dane might be the next champion again, or maybe even a Dutch with his notorious ‘Pong Way’.
