A dealer often takes 'pressure riichi' to interrupt the progress of player's hands. It is a theory only for a dealer, isn't it?

[Reply 2]There are no theories only for players about 'pressure riichi'. However, you should make riichi regardless if you are East or not, if you want to interrupt the progress of opponents's hand, or when you don't want to go out by a discarded tile of an opponent.

Look at the figure above. The shape of the hand has changed by picking . If you don't make riichi soon, opponents may discard or briefly. But in this case, you get no more than Mangan. You can get 4 concealed pungs only when you go out off the wall (Tsumo).
Therefore, you should protect yourself by 'pressure riichi'.

Another question: should you make riichi or not when you have the hand below?

[Question 2]

[Correct answer 2]

Not Riichi, and wait until the shape of this hand will change.

When you have the shape like this hand, the theory is not to make riichi but to wait until this hand will change more valuable.
But when one opponent intends to make Half Flush of Dots, it is not too bad to make riichi. Because your 'pressure riichi' will be able to interrupt opponent stealing dots or honors.

I personally fully agree with you on the "pressure riichi", but the three last samples made me think:

QUESTION:
If you now have changed the shape of your hand to one of the last three samples, which of these would you then make riichi (without considering "pressure riichi")?

MY ANSWER:
1st sample: ABSOLUTELY:
3 circles will give me 5 fan, so riichi would give me the sixth fan or 4000 in points difference (12000-8000).
6 circles will give me 3 fan 30, so riichi would give me the forth fan and thereby 3800 in difference (7700-3900).

2nd sample: ABSOLUTELY NOT
3 or 6 circles -> 4 fan 30, so riichi would only give me 300 points (8000-7700), unless I get some uradora. But then I would rather like to keep my flexibility to make the san shoku (mixed triple chows) and also keep the other players from thinking that I have an expensive hand.

3rd sample: ABSOLUTELY NOT
3 circles -> 2 fan 30, so riichi would only give me 1900 (3900-2000).
6 circles -> 4 fan 30, so again only 300 points.
Again I would rather keep my flexibility to draw another dora, and to choose to go out on only the 6 circles, as I will only get 2000 on the 3, but 7700 on the 6.

Of course all this changes if some of the other players are very dangerous, you are East, or a lot of other things... I just love riichi :)

Sample 1: I make riichi in most cases. Because I will get 7700 (or 11600) at the lowest when I win. However, I will get only 3,900 when I win by 6 dot without riich. I want to get more points when I have a good hand like this. So, I will make riichi.

Sample 2: The possibility of making riichi is fifty-fifty. In ordinary circumstances, I should not declare riichi when the value of my hand has mangan or more. Because when you make riichi, you will be win more hardly by opponent's discarding.

Sample 3: I make riichi in most cases. There are some reasons about it.
One: There is no difference in discarding 3 or 6 dot.
If the superior is 1 dot and the inferior is 4 dot of this hand, I should not declare riichi. Because it's easier for opponent's to discard 1 dot than 4 dot.

Two: I don't satisfy to win by the inferior unless I make riichi.
