To many Chinese, a funeral can be a celebration, when the dearly beloved has had a long and happy life. Playing mahjong, on these occasions, is not a rare event. This sometimes can lead to remarkable encounters, as described by Luo Wangshu.

The OEMC2011 was a success, as expected. A lot of players succeeding to cover the expenses. No Chinese however, nor other Hungarian other than the winner. Not even a Dutch replacement for a Dutch player that couldn’t make it (although I was never asked….).

Next month, the OEMC2011 will start, with just one Hungarian player. The rest of the Magyar team will stay at home. Martin Rep regrets very much.
