Giant Italian Mahjong TilesUDINE, May, 10th - Players of the mahjong club at Udine, Italy, presented themselves with gigantic mahjong tiles during the 2012 Far East Film Festival. Playing with the extraordinatiy tiles was welcomed by lots of spectators.

Description : Participants form teams of 2 players. They will play during consecutive 24 hours (lunch breaks included) by taking turns. At the end of granted time, the team which will have the highest total score will be declared victorious. If equality there is, they will be decided in the point of table. Details : Each player will have to record 12 hours of game. Each team is free to manage its relays. However, these last ones will have to be a multiple of 2 hours. The players of a team not having made the same time of game will be penalized of 50 points per hour of difference (for example, P1 plays 10h and P2 plays 14h. There are 4h of difference so 200 points of penality for the team). OEMC Movies Online
On the occasion of the 100th MERS tournament, directors Bram van Erkel and Jelte Rep have granted permission to publish online the movies they made on the occasion of the first MERS tournament, the OEMC2005 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Mr. Van Erkel and Mr. Rep made a documentary about the competition, which now can be watched on YouTube.
