The 'MCR Open Finnish Mahjong Championship 2009' will be completed in four sessions, each 120 minutes. In Finnish style, the tournament will be concluded with a sauna, the price of which is included in the (€5) subscription fee.

HELSINKI - Finland, one of the new members of the European Mahjong Association (EMA), is organizing its first mahjong tournament. This event will take place on November 28~29th in Helsinki. The tournament is not MERS-qualified; this means that the results will not be implied in the official ranking.Add your comment

On the occasion of the 100th MERS tournament, directors Bram van Erkel and Jelte Rep have granted permission to publish online the movies they made on the occasion of the first MERS tournament, the OEMC2005 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Mr. Van Erkel and Mr. Rep made a documentary about the competition, which now can be watched on YouTube.
