Image of last year's marathon in ParisPARIS - For the second time, in France a mahjong marathon will take place. For 24 long hours, mahjong players will have to compete against each other. Last year, the event was won by Nathalie Mahé and Lionel Legaye. But winning the tournament is not the most important thing. Concluding the event, that is the real victory.

The rules of the game, as determined by the French club mahjong Anime.

Participants form teams of two players. They will play during consecutive 24 hours (lunch breaks included) by taking turns. At the end of granted time, the team which will have the highest total score will be declared victorious.

Each player will have to record 12 hours of game. Each team is free to manage its relays. However these last ones will have to be a multiple of 2 hours. The players of a team not having made the same time of game will be penalized of 50 points per hour of difference (for example, P1 plays 10h and P2 plays 14h. There are 4h of difference so 200 points of penalty for the team).
