AMSTERDAM - Most visitors of the website MahjongNews.Com think the reward for self-draw in Mahjong Competition rules is too high. On the other hand, there were less voters than during the previous poll, so the figures are hardly representative. That poll was filled in by 49 visitors. Apparently, the poll about the reward for self-pick was less inspiring, even though some contributers to MahjongNews wrote interesting articles about the topic. This poll was filled in by just 35 visitors. The question was: The reward for self-draw 'hu' in MCR is:
So, now it is time for a new poll. Just as the previous ones: not representative, but just fun to fill in and to watch the results! This one is about the luck which is involved in mahjong. Just go to the Front Page to see the new one.

OEMC Movies Online
On the occasion of the 100th MERS tournament, directors Bram van Erkel and Jelte Rep have granted permission to publish online the movies they made on the occasion of the first MERS tournament, the OEMC2005 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Mr. Van Erkel and Mr. Rep made a documentary about the competition, which now can be watched on YouTube.
