BADEN - After the second day of the Open European Mahjong Championship, Bo Lang from Switzerland leads the general ranking. It was a very heavy day at the Hotel Schloß Weikersdorf at Baden, with four sessions to be played in a steaming hot hall.  Not only the mahjong skills but also the physical strength of the players are becoming more and more important.

Bo Lang is the only player with 22 points after six rounds, which is a 92 percent score. Otto Myslivec from Austria and Angela Nyulasine Lakos from Hungary are just 1 point behind.

However, with still three rounds to go on Saturday, the competition is close behind. The strong Japanese, Chinese and Danish players can still be found in the top ten. Désirée Heemskerk from the Netherlands, who was the only European in the final of the 2007 World Championship in China, is on position number 6, with just 4 points less than Bo Lang.
