UDINE, May, 10th - Players of the mahjong club at Udine, Italy, presented themselves with gigantic mahjong tiles during the 2012 Far East Film Festival. Playing with the extraordinatiy tiles was welcomed by lots of spectators.

HANOVER - Three German players are in the lead of the Phoenix Tournament. After the first day, Richard Stöckemann has the best score, with 95,600 points. Mathias Koehler and Andreas Pistek are following. The championship will be concluded tomorrow.

During both days of the competition, three rounds are played in this MERS-1 tournament. Players from four countries compete: besides Germans, there are Dutch and Slovakian players as well as one from the United Kingdom.

OEMC Movies Online

On the occasion of the 100th MERS tournament, directors Bram van Erkel and Jelte Rep have granted permission to publish online the movies they made on the occasion of the first MERS tournament, the OEMC2005 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Mr. Van Erkel and Mr. Rep made a documentary about the competition, which now can be watched on YouTube.
