UDINE, May, 10th - Players of the mahjong club at Udine, Italy, presented themselves with gigantic mahjong tiles during the 2012 Far East Film Festival. Playing with the extraordinatiy tiles was welcomed by lots of spectators.

discussMESTRE - The general classification of the 4th Open European Mahjong Championship 2011 after the second day of the tournament.

Ildikó Hargitai from Hungary leads the classification. Runner-up is Jun Nishikawa from Japan. Leni Janssen from the Netherlands is in position number three.

In total, seven sessions have been played. Tomorrow, the last two sessions will take place.

OEMC Movies Online

On the occasion of the 100th MERS tournament, directors Bram van Erkel and Jelte Rep have granted permission to publish online the movies they made on the occasion of the first MERS tournament, the OEMC2005 in Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
Mr. Van Erkel and Mr. Rep made a documentary about the competition, which now can be watched on YouTube.

Finally, the comic feature 'Mahjong in Holland' can also be watched on YouTube. In this movie, 'proof' is produced that mahjong actually was invented in Holland.
